When I enable K boost, I get the prompt to reboot, but afterwards clocks are still at 324mhz and voltage is still at 1.10v.

I did a clean install of an older Nvidia Driver ver 310.90whql and I even installed an older version of EVGA Precision X Ver 3.0.4. So for some reason its LOCKED to Adaptive somewhere and any change I make using Nvidia Inspector has no effect. BUT!!!!! any change you make has ABSOLUTELY no effect. So you have to go into Nvidia Inspector and change it there.

The control to change it does not show up at all ON ANY Nvidia Drivers for Windows XP 32bit. Memory = 24GB corsair Dominator GT 1600mhzīasically The power Management Feature in Nvidia Control Panel is hidden. Why would Furmark be throttling my k-boost if no other benchmark does? Could it be throttling due to drivers and not stress?įYI i have 2 other threads in 2 different places where i have posted this issue. but as you can see i'm not even over 40 degrees. Yes, it looks like i'm throttling, throttling all the way down to stock clocks. This is what happens when i run furmark at any setting. I can also crank it up higher then this with ever increasing performance. This is what my card K-boosts to without any additional overclock, it stays at this 100% of the time in 99% of games, and 3dmark/3dmark11. K-boost seems to be not so hot for benchmarking.
Its pretty nice for gaming, works really well to get your card running at 100%+ when you see it snoozing at 40-50% AND getting bad performance in a game (if my card was at 40% and i was getting 60fps on max settings i would not see a need to run it at 100%) K-boost was added in with 600 series, so i doubt it is very backward compatible friendly(not working well with your 5xx series guy)Īfter months of using K-boost i have come to this realization. make my own question on a already around thread.
